Upcoming Transits and Eclipses In North America!

Transit of Mercury  11-11-2019  Animation/information on this page is for O'Neill Nebraska.  You can change locations at the top of the linked page for different areas.

Total Eclipse of the Moon  May 15/16, 2022  and  11-8-2022  The linked pages are for O'Neill Nebraska and can be modified for other sites.

Annular Eclipse of the Sun 10-14-2023  Eclipse glasses needed! This animation shows information for all of North America. I plan to be in the Southwest (or anywhere where it's clear) along the path of maximum coverage!  This will be the 2nd one I have seen. You can see the first one on the Photo Page.

Partial Eclipse of the Sun 10-14-2023  Eclipse glasses needed!  Here in O'Neill Nebraska we won't see an annular eclipse. We will see a partial eclipse.  The linked page is for O'Neill and can be modified for other sites.

Total Eclipse of the Sun 4-8-2024   Link 1 - Google Maps link which allows for zooming in anywhere along the path of totality.  Clicking on a location gives the ephemeris at that location!  Link 2 - Shows an animation of the moon's shadow and climate data on cloud cover statistics to select a location along the path of totality with lowest chances of cloud cover.  I hope to be in south texas where totality exceeds 4 minutes!  Link 3 - More maps of the path of totality!
